A current PHD student at University of Victoria, until recently Nancy Henderson was program manager(still is research and evaluation manager) at Peterborough’s 360 Degree Nurse Practictioner LED Cinic. They began a Safer Supply program for 50 users of toxic street drugs to give them a safe alternative. I thank Nancy for taking the time to talke to me on this dire topic and a cause of death of about 5-8 people each month in our city. I apologize for the excessive use of acronyms. CTS stands for Consumption and Treatment Services, which is a drug treatment program done at Simcoe and Aylmer. MSORT stands for Mobile Support Overdose Resource Team, which is one of many organizations within this city helping to combat the issue of toxic drug supply in this age of prohibition. She brings up a lot of “moral dilemnas” and future challenges that the Safer Supply programs face. Musical notes: garbageface-“Antumbra”, “Penumbra”, Olias “Sinister Teal”
